Web Design Superpowers in Action

With x-ray vision, photographic memory and the cure for color blindness, now you too can enhance your web design ability to superhero level! Simply download your desired superpowers from the list below to get started.

X-Ray Vision ~ This bookmarklet will allow you to see the CSS behind any element on a page. It takes seconds to install and is especially useful when dealing with code you didn’t originally write.

The Color Blindness Cure ~ This is a tiny .exe program which will reveal hex codes (and other color codes) for the color of any pixel anywhere on your screen when you mouse over it.

Photographic Memory ~ Jing lets you grab screen shots or videos. If you set it up to activate via keyboard shortcut, it’s an incredibly handy tool. It also keeps a history of your screen captures.

I’m also a fan of firebug and yslow for firefox, they come in quite handy for digging into the dom and seeing what’s up with a website.

I concur, YSlow is definitely well worth a mention.

However, I still prefer telekinesis as far as powers go.
