Are you a compulsive list-maker? Or maybe you just need to keep track of a few things. Either way, Gubb is a simple web application made especially for you. On the surface, it’s intuitive and straightforward – you just make lists.
If you happen to desire a more robust feature set, Gubb has capabilities for sharing, updating via email or mobile phone, archiving, color coding and more. The interface is highly versatile, allowing you to configure your own dashboard by arranging your lists as you see fit.
Remember The Milk is a similar service focused specifically on task management. I often need to list things other than “to-do” items, ranging from ideas for blog posts or Christmas gifts to re-usable checklists for QA and SEO best practices. The simplicity of Gubb accommodates any type of list, which is the main reason I haven’t moved to an alternate solution.
If you’ve found a service you think is better, add a comment on this post and let everyone know.

I’ll have to give that a shot. It has to be dead simple to get to and enter stuff though, because my short term memory is crap. If it takes any longer than twitter to get into and post something, I’ll likely have forgotten it by the time I get to where you post it, lol.
I’ve yet to find anything that quite replaces pen and paper. The satisfaction one achieves by crossing an item off on a piece of paper is unrivaled, though the environmental impact is not so good…
I agree with you about paper lists. I use those for stuff I know I’ll get to within a few days. For longer term stuff that I need to put off ’til later, I use Gubb. Paper is definitely a wonderful thing, and it usually smells good too
I’m not entirely sure about use of paper being bad for the environment though, having read this article:

I am a fan of remember the milk, because it syncs with my blackberry and its power when forwarding emails to it.
